Cellar Scraps #16
Cellar Scraps #16 is a fun blend that is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Syrah. These wines were produced from very select vineyards ranging from Spring Mountain to Oakville, Calistoga, Saint Helena, and Howell Mountain. The range and diversity of these vineyards express multiple characteristics and layers that make this a truly complex blend. Entering the glass with pleasant aromatics of deep fruit, luxurious oak, and baking spices, on the palate it transitions to an elegant and bright wine that glides across your senses with balanced tannins and a smooth finish, leaving layers of fruit that continue to linger. The majority of Cellar Scraps #16 is made up of the 2019 vintage along with about 25 percent from the 2018 vintage to compliment this blend. The barrel aging for these wines range from 22 to 34 months on 100 percent French oak. This wine is drinking nicely now, however it will benefit greatly from aging for an additional two or more years.
